Garden Club


STATE AWARDS:  FIRST PLACE:  The BSL Garden Club won first place for "Plant it Pink" (a pink garden that was planted for breast cancer awareness), Garden Therapy (for help provided during the hurricane), the Margie O'Keefe Award for Litter Control (for Clean Sweep), the Hummingbird Award, the Westridge Gardeners Herb Award, and the Ruth Mertz Best Five Year History Award.

SECOND PLACE:  Second place awards were received for Club of the Year, Best One Year History, the Website Award and the Hannah McMillan Memorial Gardens Award.

THIRD PLACE:  Third place awards were received for the Judy Barnes Scholarship Award and Rusty Van Pelt Yearbook Award and an Honorable Mention was awarded for the Margie O'Keefe Publication Press Book Award.

REGIONAL:  The BSL Garden Club also won another first award for "Plant it Pink."

Regular Meetings

2nd Thursday of each month at 10:00 AM in the Community Center. (September through May)

The Monday following the monthly meeting, we hold a work day at one of the gardens in the city, weather permitting.


 The Garden Club's objective is to promote good gardening practices, civic and environmental responsibility and the beautification of Boiling Spring Lakes. The club theme is "There is more than one way to plant a seed."  New members are always welcome.
