General Duties: Boiling Spring Lakes Parks & Recreation Summer Day Camp Counselors are responsible for supervision of 8-12 camp participants, of various ages, at all times; including necessary behavior intervention, the planning and implementing of activities for assigned group. This position is responsible for supervision of campers during off campus activities and field trips. Will also provide set-up and clean-up for each camp days. Interaction with camp participants during activities is MANDATORY. Complete time sheet on a daily basis.
Requirements: Required minimum of High School Diploma. Driving experience and experience supervising youth in educational or recreational setting preferred but not required. Must be self motivated and independent to complete routine tasks as well as energetic and enthusiastic to be able to motivate and entertain campers for a full day. Counselors must be comfortable in water, as participation in swimming and water park activities is mandatory! Drug screening and background check are required prior to employment.
Hours of Work
Summer – Schedule will vary depending on camp and special events schedule. Position is temporary seasonal 35-40 hours per week. You must be able to work from June 8th – August 14th. $12 per hour.
