We are asking individuals to call or email for assistance.

Follow the guidelines set by the NC Department of Health and Human Services in response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

All contact will be through telephone or email communication.

Planning and Inspections operations will consist of dropping documentation for review. No in office consultations are permitted. Please call the appropriate Department to schedule to meet outside of the building to drop off documents that cannot be sent electronically.

All payments will be made online. A link to pay will be sent to the email address listed on the application. During the City’s State of Emergency there is no fee to pay online.

~ If you are unable to apply for a permit online please call the appropriate department to assist you.

 

Inspections:

To the extent possible, inspection department members will perform inspections in unoccupied areas of buildings where no other persons are in the proximate areas, especially avoiding closed or confined spaces occupied by others. As necessary, inspections staff may meet with minimal personnel from builders/developers at the building site but must maintain extended distances from others and meet in open external spaces.
