The City of Boiling Spring Lakes announced today that Gregory L. Jordan has been appointed Chief of Police for the City.

“I am pleased to announce today that after receiving over thirty (30) resumes for the position and interviewing five (5) candidates that Gregory Jordan has agreed to become the next Police Chief for the City of Boiling Spring Lakes,” stated City Manager Jeffrey E. Repp.  “Greg’s twenty eight (28) years in law enforcement in Brunswick County with the last nineteen (19) with the Town of Oak Island Police Department prior to coming to work here in the City will bring tremendous experience and knowledge to our department and the City.  In the short time that he has been with our department he has gained the respect and trust of the other officers and I look forward to working with him.   

Mr. Jordan graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and is active with the North Carolina Association of Chiefs of Police and the International Association of Chief of Police.  In 2010 he graduated from the NC Justice Academy Management Development Program.

He will begin his duties as Chief on Monday, March 25, 2019.
