After School Assistant
2 Part Time Positions


General Duties:  Boiling Spring Lakes After School Assistants are responsible for supervision of 25-30 youth participants under the direction of the Recreation Manager. Duties require the facilitation of homework and study periods, the planning and implementation of activities for assigned group, behavior interventions, and daily program set-up and clean-up.  This position is also responsible for supervision of children during transportation to and from Bolivia Elementary and off campus activities and field trips.  Interaction with participants during activities is MANDATORY.  Complete time sheet on a daily basis.

Requirements:  Required minimum of High School Diploma and experience supervising youth in educational or recreational setting preferred (high school juniors and seniors may be considered). Basic First Aid and CPR certified or have the ability to become certified prior to reporting to work. Counselors must be able to work well in a group setting.  Must be self-motivated, able to take initiative, independent to complete routine tasks as well as energetic and enthusiastic to be able to motivate and entertain youth participants. Drug Screening and Background Check are required prior to employment

Hours of Work
Monday – Friday, 3:00-6:15pm all school days
Schedules and hours will vary on school breaks and workdays

Salary:  $8.15 - $8.90 DOQ
